We have developed this Schools Activity Pack to accompany the project. The activities are aimed at Key Stage 2 and 3 pupils in all primary and secondary schools, in Devon, Torbay and Plymouth. They will also be of interest to teachers outside Devon, to support teaching on equality, diversity, inclusion, and multicultural history.
What’s inside
Through six bespoke activities, pupils can learn more about Devon’s diverse and multicultural history. All activities have been developed from stories from the project, by a team of educational experts and historians. National Curriculum links are indicated throughout.
We suggest downloading and reading the Teacher’s Introduction first, to familiarise yourself with the Pack. This document is called 0.5. TOSFOR Teacher Introduction.
How to access
The Schools Activity Pack can be accessed in two ways.
1) The Teacher’s Introduction and the six activities can be downloaded directly below, as separate documents. The five PowerPoints also need to be downloaded.
2) The Schools Activity Pack which contains the Teacher’s Introduction and all the activities. You will also need the five PowerPoints.
Feedback
We’d welcome feedback from you about the individual activities and/or the whole pack. There is a feedback sheet included as an individual document and p8 of the Pack.
